If you’re into technical diving then you know that to extend your depth range you need to use trimix – a blend of helium, oxygen and nitrogen. The Tec Trimix 65 course introduces you to using trimix down to a maximum depth of 65 metres/210 feet. There are advantages to using three gases, but you need to know how to do it right. Earning the Tec Trimix 65 certification makes deeper exploration a reality.

What’s Involved

This course has multiple knowledge development sessions, practical application sessions and at least 3 deep open water dives plus skills development dives. These will be scheduled to suit divers enrolled in each course, but typically will be run over 5-6 days.

Course Skills

Trimix diving depth ranges, Exposure planning. Selecting a mix and using Argon inflation systems. Handling three or four decompression cylinders, understand different decompression models. Emergency procedures. Decompression software and multi-gas computers.

Why Do the Course?

This course will appeal to experienced technical divers who are now seeking to explore the next levels of mixed gas diving. It gives you a platform to explore advanced wreck, technical rescue and safety diver training programmes and to move onto the full hypoxic trimix programme.

What’s Included

The course fee covers instructional time, manual, use of facilities including pool. Students are expected to pay any boat costs and accommodation costs required to complete the course but we do have packages available. Only after the successful completion of the course do you pay your certification fee – “you pay for training – you earn the certification”

What You Need

Standard scuba equipment plus a spare mask, timing device, a dsmb, a spool/reel with 30m of line. We also strongly advise that this course is conducted using manifolded twin cylinders or in sidemount configuration. These may be rented for the duration of the course.
