@SOUTH WEST TECHNICAL DIVING
Price List
value and price
- We are proud of the divers we turn out and not just their skill level but also their knowledge, decision making and psychological preparedness to execute the dives for which they have trained. This takes time and demands our expertise, experience and energy.
- As a ‘profession’ diving is often undervalued. All of us who work in diving are passionate about diving and sometimes that leads to poor decisions on charges. Passionate about diving but less experienced in business people often resort to price as a sales technique, believing the cheapest price is the most attractive. Sadly that means in order to eat something has to give and it’s usually time and quality
We believe we offer outstanding value, yet our prices will be seen as near the top of the market. This is because we want to invest as much in you as you do in yourself. We want to be still in business and able to support you through your diving career.
If price is your major consideration for choosing your technical diving instructor then we wish you well elsewhere. If investing in your development, knowledge, safety and enjoyment is your goal, we’d love to chat.
We charge between 175 and 225 euro per day plus vat. Compare that with a mechanic at 75.00 an hour (600 a day) or your accountant at 250 an hour (2000 a day) and we could justifiably charge more. Even if we fill a course with our maximum of three students, we still only get 450 a day before expenses, still less than your oil change.
With a couple of small exceptions the 175 euro a day is for tech training, 200 for CCR and 225.00 for cave / overhead training ex vat. Each course has an estimated number of days but these can vary based upon student performance, dive / weather conditions etc. Prices for guiding dives or coaching days are in a similar range but we are happy to confirm on request.
We will always try to be reasonable but cancellations at short notice will always incur a charge except in the most exceptional circumstances.
Any books or e-learning, dive costs, dive site or boat fees, access fees, gas, lime etc are payable by the student for themselves. The instructor costs are shared amongst the students.
** Certification fees are payable only at the end of the course when you have passed.
All prices are subject to VAT at the prevaling rate for the service or product
Payments can be by all major credit cards, paypal, bank transfer, cash or apple pay but please allow time for funds to clear. All courses require a 20% deposit plus cost of books / materials as delivered. The deposit is non-refundable if the course is cancelled by the student except in exceptional circumstances. Courses rescheduled due to weather, illness etc will not forfeit the deposit. Deposits are not transferable to other goods or services.
