This is the first ANDI training program to cover the specific information and skills necessary to perform stage-stop required, “technical” decompression diving while minimizing the associated risk factors. Also covered: how to use various SafeAir mixtures to increase decompression efficiency and safety, gas volume management, oxygen dosage tracking and contingency planning/procedures.

This course serves as the building block for other ANDI Technical and Exploration programs. The operational depth limit for this program is extended to 40m. The program included 8-10 hours of lecture and 4+ open water training dives. Minimun bottom time is 180 minutes.

Note 1: divers may only move 2 levels during one course series. In order to move levels the candidate must have 25 dives at the ERD level.

Note 2: Extended Range Diver L4 program is an option for ideal conditions when helium is not available, otherwise Intermediate Tri-Mix L4 is the best option.

Note 3: Extended Range Diver L4 program encompassing PN2 greater than 3.6 Bar but less than 4.5 Bar requires a Standards Waiver request to IHQ or RHQ. The waiver is applicable in clear, warm waters only.
